Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, has said he gave Mesut Ozil the chief's armband for their International Champions Cup (ICC) triumph over Paris Saint-Germain, on the grounds that he trusts the German can "assume the liability".
Ozil, 29, made his first begin for the Gunners under Unai Emery this season on Saturday and opened the scoring as they whipped the Ligue 1 champions 5-1.
Emery was asked to clarify for what reason he named Ozil his captain after the game."We are cooperating and giving the duty to the player.
"I figure he can assume the liability like a skipper, yet how about we do not overlook [Laurent] Koscielny in light of the fact that he is chief also.
"Petr Cech and Aaron [Ramsey] played as commanders in well-disposed matches. I'm considering perhaps one more player," he told the Mirror UK.
