Privateers have captured 12 team individuals from a Swiss load vessel in Nigerian waters.

Massoel Shipping said its vessel, MV Glarus, was conveying wheat from Lagos to Port Harcourt when it was assaulted on Saturday.

"The privateer pack boarded the Glarus by methods for long stepping stools and cut the razor wire on deck," the firm told AFP. The gatecrashers struck 45 nautical miles from Bonny Island in the Niger Delta, taking 12 of the 19 group prisoner.

Geneva-based Massoel said the privateers had "decimated a great part of the vessel's interchanges hardware". The group individuals' nationalities stay obscure, yet the firm said their families are by and large firmly educated of the circumstance.

Masters are on the way to guarantee the prisoners' "quick and safe discharge", the delivery organization said. Switzerland's outside service said Massoel had affirmed that none of those captured were from the nation itself, Reuters reports.

Seizing for deliver is regular in Nigeria, with outsiders and prominent Nigerians much of the time focused on.
