Space station reports the spill

The opening around 2 millimeters crosswise over was perhaps caused by a micrometeorite strike 

Space travelers mixed on August 30 to fix a little gap in a Russian container that was enabling air to spill from the International Space Station. NASA and Russian space authorities focused on the six space explorers were in no peril. 

The break was distinguished on August 29 night, potentially from a micrometeorite strike when it caused a little drop in internal compression. It was followed to an opening around 2 millimeters crosswise over in a Soyuz case docked at the space station. 

On August 30 morning, the group taped over the gap, moderating the break. Afterward, the two Russian spacemen put sealant on a fabric and stuck it over the region, while their associates took photographs for engineers on the ground. Flight controllers, in the interim, observed the internal compression while attempting to think of a superior long-haul arrangement. 

Mission Control outside Moscow advised the space explorers to give the sealant a chance to dry medium-term and that more hole checks would be directed on August 31. The stopgap repairs appear to have balanced out the circumstance, at any rate, for the time being, authorities said. Prior, flight controllers took advantage of the oxygen supply of a Russian payload container to in part renew the environment in the station. 

The spilling Soyuz one of two up there touched base at the circling lab in June with three space explorers. It's their ride home, as well, come December, and furthermore fills in as a raft if there should arise an occurrence of a crisis. A NASA representative said it was untimely to theorize on whether the three may need to come back to Earth early in the release, even as little as it may be, can't be ceased. 

The opening is situated in the upper, circular segment of the Soyuz, which does not come back to Earth, as per NASA. The 250-mile-high station is home to three Americans, two Russians, and one German. Orbital flotsam and jetsam is a steady risk, even the smallest bits.
