Human Space Flight Center to be set up in Bengaluru: ISRO

In a bit nearer to making India's lady human mission to space a reality, 


the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) on January 11 reported the setting up of a Human Space Flight Center in Bengaluru with Unnikrishnan Nair as its head. 

ISRO Chairman K. Sivan, while making the declaration in Bengaluru, said R. Hutton would head the Gaganyaan venture, that will send three space explorers to circle the Earth for three to seven days at 400 km. The Rs. 10,000-crore venture was slated to occur before December 2021 and would be gone before by two unmanned preliminaries.

ISRO has tied up with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and L&T among different firms to produce the business made PSLV dispatch vehicles. 

Chandrayaan-2, the lunar lander-wanderer mission, had been arranged towards April end, Mr. Sivan said.
